History: As 2003 came to a close, a group of community members in Oxford came together with one purpose: to provide high quality healthcare for uninsured adults in a loving, faith based environment. Health Services in Action was formed in 2004 and served patients at the First Presbyterian Church from September of 2004 until March of 2007 when a new building was furnished and renovated by Sean Carothers and Brownie Crawford. Medical equipment was primarily donated by local medical and pharmaceutical entities.
